It was a great honour for me to be invited to the Residence of the Greek Ambassador in London for the event “New Frontiers of the Mind: Neuroscience at the Intersection of Innovation, Industry, and Human Rights”

It was an exceptionally inspiring evening, organised by the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, Mr Giannis Tsaousis, with the participation of prominent figures from Oxford and Cambridge, including the Lord Mayor of Oxford, Dr Louise Upton, who has honoured me with her friendship for many years.

As a neurosurgeon, I found the discussions particularly timely for the future of brain health, neurotechnology, and the ethical challenges that accompany rapid innovation. These dialogues are critical to how we will shape clinical practice, research, and health policy in the coming years.

I am grateful for the opportunity to participate and to represent Greek physicians working at the intersection of neuroscience and society, and I look forward to incorporating many of these ideas into my clinical and academic practice.

At the 'Seferis Office'

The last photograph was taken in the historic “Seferis Office” at the Residence of the Greek Ambassador in London, a space that has been curated as a small museum and permanent exhibition dedicated to Giorgos Seferis. Giorgos Seferis served as Greece’s ambassador in London for about five years, from 1957 to 1962.
